What is Sula?
The developments within Suriname’s oil, gas and energy sector are accelerating rapidly. Although people directly involved in the sector are often well informed, much of this information remains largely inaccessible to a large part of society. Even so, these developments will have a direct or indirect impact on society.
Sula’s aim is to inform Surinamese society about these developments in an accessible, understandable and balanced way. The platform wants to enable people to critically understand the opportunities, challenges and consequences of the sector. Its activities focus on a range of audiences, including students, young people, local communities, entrepreneurs and the general public.
The intended result is a better-informed society that can actively take part in public debate and is better prepared for the changes this sector brings.
